Hi, I am using app-misc/tracker (version 0.8.9). I have just noticed that it does not index the content of my OpenOffice documents. Apparently it requires a little tool "odt2txt" from http://stosberg.net/odt2txt to access the content of OpenOffice documents. There is currently no Gentoo ebuild for this tool. I have compiled and installed odt2txt manually, and my OpenOffice documents are now indexed properly. An ebuild should be created for "odt2txt" and the tracker ebuild should be made dependent on it. Thank you very much! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have the tracker system running 3. Create an OpenOffice Writer document and place some keywords inside 2. Search for the keywords using tracker-search Actual Results: The OpenOffice document is not listed. Display the OpenOffice document containing the keywords.
Please file a separate bug report for odt2txt ebuild request

the code is in fact behind the gsf use flag. I've added the dependency behind it. + 14 Nov 2010; Gilles Dartiguelongue <eva@gentoo.org> tracker-0.8.17.ebuild, + tracker-0.9.27.ebuild, tracker-9999.ebuild, metadata.xml: + Add missing odt2txt dependency, per bug #325435. Thanks for reporting.
