No bug for rtmpdump?
Marked ~hppa.
I tried this on ppc32 without libvpx. According to bug #323727, it should use the internal vp8 decoder, but when played with mplayer, it complains that libvpx isn't available and bails. Is this the intended behavior?
As an update, the patch in the libvpx stabilization bug does make it work with vp8 video, but it's pretty slow and definitely using libvpx.
Native VP8 support was added after 0.6, and performance was improved so much any FFmpeg version older than about 1 month is not a good choice if you care about VP8.
Okay, sorry, from the way it was described in the libvpx bug I thought that ffmpeg already had support for vp8 in the 0.6 build. In any case, for ppc, we'll pass on libvpx and wait for a newer ffmpeg snapshot. Marked ~ppc/~ppc64. Closing since we're the last arch.
