Description Florian CROUZAT (SuperFlo) 2010-06-14 14:16:17 UTC
I sucessfully compiled rxvt-unicode on my x64-macos.
Attached are the packages I had to keyword to be able to start the compilation (file: package.keywords). I guess they are candidate for a massive keywordreq, but I'm not really sure because I'd need more experienced users to give me some use cases to test the term. I noticed I can't run urxvt from Terminal.app (with or without startx). See:

shell> type -p urxvt ; urxvt
/Users/superflo/Gentoo/usr/bin/urxvt
urxvt: can't open display /tmp/launch-mSN1U1/org.x:0, aborting.
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'rxvt_failure_exception'
Abort trap

It runs "fine" (apparently) when launched from the X window which pops up after firing the startx command in Terminal.app. I'm new with X, and I saw the agua flag on urxvt, so I though it'd be like mplayer, which runs fine without firing up X. Rxvt doesn't.

Any comments, ideas, use cases are welcome.

The aqua USE-flag was misplaced, so I removed it in the latest version. The behaviour you see is about normal.

all keywords added, thanks
Comment 4 Florian CROUZAT (SuperFlo) 2010-06-15 09:21:20 UTC
Still in the same spirit, I also compiled (x64-macos) the following X-related packages (sample from my package.keywords file):

media-fonts/encodings **
media-fonts/font-util **
media-fonts/inconsolata **
x11-apps/mkfontdir **
x11-apps/mkfontscale **
x11-libs/libfontenc **
Comment 5 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2010-06-15 09:23:18 UTC
you mean the previous list wasn't complete? that doesn't make me happy
Comment 6 Florian CROUZAT (SuperFlo) 2010-06-15 09:25:48 UTC
It was, I compiled new packages today and I though I wouldn't file a new bug since it's all kinda related.

Sorry if I should have, anyway, my previous list was complete.
Comment 7 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2010-06-15 09:28:46 UTC
alright, just please file new bugs in the future
Comment 8 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2010-06-22 15:21:27 UTC
this bug is not about rxvt at all, any more, setting proper subject, dropping jer, as I presume he's not interested in keywording ~x64-macos bugs.
