Description Arseny Solokha 2010-06-14 07:40:11 UTC
cclive 0.6.3 should depend on >=cclive-0.2.0 instead of >=cclive-0.1.4. It fails to emerge otherwise:

app.cpp: In function 'void verify_format_id(const Options&)':
app.cpp:235: error: 'quvi_next_supported_website' was not declared in this scope
app.cpp:241: error: 'quvi_free' was not declared in this scope
app.cpp: In function 'void print_hosts()':
app.cpp:282: error: 'quvi_next_supported_website' was not declared in this scope

Trivial fix is to update required quvi version in RDEPEND variable:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -q =media-video/cclive-0.6.3
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Build process fails.

Expected Results:
Successful emerge.

Please attach the complete build.log and environment files mentioned at the end of the failing emerge process. Thanks.
Comment 2 Arseny Solokha 2010-06-15 04:47:38 UTC
cclive 0.6.3 should depend on >=cclive-0.2.0 instead of >=cclive-0.1.4.

It's typo. Should be read as "cclive 0.6.3 should depend on >=quvi-0.2.0 instead of >=quvi-0.1.4.

Another evidence of strict dependency of cclive-0.6.3 on quvi-0.2.0:

1. Emerge quvi 0.2.0
2. Emerge cclive 0.6.3
3. Downgrade quvi 0.2.0 to 0.1.4
4. Run cclive:
% cclive -c -f fmt22 -F "%i.%s" "<video from youtube>"
cclive: relocation error: cclive: symbol quvi_next_supported_website, version VER_0.1.0 not defined in file libquvi.so.0 with link time reference

And the last evidence:
"Changes:
  * Update to use libquvi's quvi_next_supported_website function"
(grabbed from ChangeLog).
quvi_next_supported_website() only introduced in quvi 0.2.0.
