This should be the final updates to MythTV 0.22 that Gentoo will see. This contains all up to date fixes for all known issues that will be fixed in the 0.22 series. Please stabilize it all. media-tv/mythtv-0.22_p24255 x11-themes/mythtv-themes-0.22_p23473 media-plugins/mytharchive-0.22_p22763 media-plugins/mythbrowser-0.22_p22763 media-plugins/mythflix-0.22_p22763-r1 media-plugins/mythgallery-0.22_p22763 media-plugins/mythgame-0.22_p22763 media-plugins/mythmovies-0.22_p23469 media-plugins/mythmusic-0.22_p22763 media-plugins/mythnews-0.22_p22991 media-plugins/mythvideo-0.22_p23469 media-plugins/mythweather-0.22_p22991

Yeah, our ebuilds only support Linux and > not Windows or Mac so we do have some options that are hardcoded on. Ehm, the ebuild dies. I don't know if this is intended...I do emerge without any USE flag enabled as part of my architecture testing on standard Gentoo x86.

I didn't understand your original post.
Should we proceed anyway?
(In reply to comment #5) > Should we proceed anyway? Cardoe, could you please advise? Please fix that behaviour by just dying properly when no USE flag is set or set a default.
I get a bit more information on the check that fails: Running ./configure --prefix=/usr * --mandir=/usr/share/man * --libdir-name=lib --disable-audio-alsa --disable-altivec --disable-audio-jack --disable-xvmc-vld --enable-glx-procaddrarb * --disable-dvb * --disable-firewire * --disable-lirc * --disable-audio-arts * --disable-directfb * --dvb-path=/usr/include * --enable-opengl-vsync * --enable-xrandr * --enable-xv * --enable-x11 --disable-mmx --without-bindings=perl,python --compile-type=profile --cpu=athlon-xp --disable-distcc --disable-ccache cat: /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf: No such file or directory cat: /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf: No such file or directory cat: /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf: No such file or directory ERROR: MMX disabled on x86, MythTV will be very slow.\n\tDisable this check with --enable-disable-mmx-for-debugging
Hopefully our x86 users know to enable mmx if they're running anything manufactured this century... I committed a fix for the error, however.
amd64 stable for media-tv/mythtv-0.22_p24255
Looking at the open bugs for plugins I see that bug 313551 is still open for mytharchive. Is this alread looked at?

stable x86, thanks Myckel
amd64 done
it seems you can close this bug
ppc still remains unstable at this point, however, the focus is on getting 0.24 out.
All these versions (and most packages) are no longer in tree, invalidating them for stabilization on ppc, removing ppc, closing.
