Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add www-client/midori ~amd64 to /etc/portage/package.keywords
2. emerge midori


Actual Results:  
The emerge fails right after "Source configured"

Obviously some python problem on your system, I guess, because it works for me with the same python version.

Ah, confirmed issue with USE=doc. 0.2.6 fixes this. I just removed 0.2.5 from the tree. Thanks.
