As the current ebuild in portage does *not* work when simply ecopied, I will attach a patch I feel is suitable for inclusion in the tree. There is one last hack left, as the path "/lib/udev/rules.d" is hardcoded into the makefiles (which actually is wrong on amd64 as well, where it should be /lib64/udev/rules.d) and is created during src_install even if nothing is installed: I set it to be "${EPREFIX}/$(get_libdir)/udev/rules.d" which should be correct everywhere, although it would be better if this were a configure option. I also changed a built_with_use command to the equivalent has_version command.
Created attachment 248217 [details, diff] patch for ebuild
Why assigning to me? I'm no longer the maintainer. I doubt that installing the udev stuff in prefix makes any sense at all.
