=sys-power/pm-utils-1.3.0-r2
=sys-power/pm-quirks-20100316

works with upower, devicekit-power, hal... but doesn't depend on hal anymore :)

amd64 stable for both, and x86 also for pm-quirks -- you only need to test pm-utils now.

alpha was added accidentally, sorry
Comment 4 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-04 15:39:53 UTC
Successfully tested and used for two days on x86: I'd say good to go.

I've upgraded today (amd64) but on_ac_power (from pm-utils) not work.
I receive this message:

Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.UPower was not provided by any .service files
Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.DeviceKit.Power was not provided by any .service files

I think that the problem is a missing dependence by sys-power/upower that in masked on amd64 (~amd64).

It works with any of upower, devicekit-power, or hal. Those errors are just warnings since it tries them all in that order.
