Comment 1 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-21 21:52:46 UTC
Hi arches, sys-block/gparted-0.5.2 has been in tree since 19 Mar 2010.

Thanks in advance

Now that parted 2.2 has gone stable, this stablereq has become even more urgent. I have tested unstable gparted 5.2 with parted 2.2 and both compile just fine.
Comment 3 Alex Buell 2010-05-19 00:36:14 UTC
Additionally, gparted 0.4.5 will not compile with parted 2.2.
Comment 4 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-19 05:52:04 UTC
Archtested on x86 (with glibc-2.11.1): No issues found. I agree, this one should go asap.
Comment 5 Paweł Hajdan, Jr. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-20 07:48:53 UTC
x86 stable, thanks Thomas

Please revert, x86 (and read your mail)!
Comment 8 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-20 16:16:25 UTC
what mail ? since parted-2.2 is now stable, it'd be nice to have gparted 0.5 stable as well, stable user are having build issues right now.

OK, now I've gone and done the reversion. The mail to x86@ is what I was referring to. parted-2.2 stabilisation is halted and gparted should wait as well.
Comment 10 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-29 18:13:45 UTC
parted-2.3 is pending for stable now and gparted-0.5.2 has to go together with it.
Comment 11 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-02 07:54:36 UTC
Archtested on x86: Good to go.
Comment 12 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-07-04 17:51:58 UTC
amd64 stable
Comment 13 aditsu 2010-07-05 14:27:29 UTC
Just a comment: apparently gparted-0.5.2 was *NOT* stabilized together with parted-2.3, and it broke my gparted (on amd64). I assume another sync will fix it, but can you guys try to prevent this kind of problems?
Comment 14 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-07-05 15:52:56 UTC
We always try to prevent these problems, but errors can appear from time to time
Comment 15 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-07-09 13:33:55 UTC
stable x86, thanks Thomas
Comment 16 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-08 13:30:39 UTC
sparc stable
Comment 17 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-08-11 21:49:43 UTC
Marked ppc stable. Closing since we're the last arch.
