Description Anthoine Bourgeois 2010-04-19 17:08:28 UTC
When the High-Resolution Timers aren't activated in the kernel, the pulseaudio application prints in the logs :
Apr 19 07:34:52 Zeus pulseaudio[14541]: alsa-util.c: Disabling timer-based scheduling because high-resolution timers are not available from the kernel

To fix it, I recompile my kernel with CONFIG_HIGH_RES_TIMERS=y and pulseaudio itself.
Can it be useful to print an info message after the pulseaudio compilation to report the disabling of the timer-based scheduling ?

I'm in stable amd64 and my pulseaudio version is media-sound/pulseaudio-0.9.21.1 .

Reproducible: Always
