Bryan, this is you.
The actual errors are associated with glide trying to paste tokens with '##' that don't (can't) be pasted. I'm going to attach a patch that fixes these for the h3 dir, but I haven't fixed them for the other dirs.
Created an attachment (id=24951) [edit] glide-v3-3.10-r3-gcc-3.3.patch Another problem: the build doesn't fail when the compile fails so this bug can DELETE the glide drivers that are already on the system.
did this patch made it into the ebuild already?
What is the current status of getting glide to work and is there anything I can do to help? Justin
Right now, it's a matter of getting autotools problems worked out. There's some obscure autoconf/automake stuff that's been tripping me up a bit and I'm going through an old srpm finding the proper way to do things. Once I get it figured out I hope to try getting an ebuild.
I've committed glide-v3-3.10-r4 which should fix the gcc 3.3 compile errors, as well as some autotools-related problems.
I'm still getting exactly the same errors with the new package and gcc-3.3.2. This kind: ../../../../h3/glide3/src/gglide.c:2782: warning: left-hand operand of comma expression has no effect And this kind: ../../../../h3/glide3/src/gglide.c:2782: warning: statement with no effect While it compiles and installs, the result is not loaded by XFree86. I used everything from the old distribution except the binary (which I got from the website). I suppose it could be a different bug, but that's all the errors I get anywhere, and the only difference is one new binary. Will you reopen this bug?
What you're seeing are the normal pasting warnings, which aren't gone.
