I tried to install Galeon from CVS (it uses autogen things from gnome-common) but it complains that gnome-cxx-check.m4 should be removed. I did so and it worked. In /usr/share/aclocal/gnome2-macros/autogen.sh there is the line: forbid_m4macro gnome-cxx-check.m4
What version(s) of gnome-common have you installed on your machine? Maybe you have both 1.2.4 and 2.4.0, which leads to this conflict. If that is the case, please try unmerging gnome-common-1.2.4. This is an indication that those two versions should have the same SLOT value. I'll keep an eye on this. Thanks for your report.
Yes I had both versions installed. I unmerged it... Thanks :)
Ok, the ebuilds should be correct now. Thanks again.
