Yep, it's out, and it needs to be in portage. I'll have at it in a few days if no one else does.

I had a look into it...
Current version is 7.0.2

Just copy the newest ebuild in the tree to 7.0.2 and cut away --with-cflags
and --with-cxxflags from econf to make it compile.

When it installs it tries to mkdir /usr/share/lammpi which ends with an access
violation.
