Description Stephane Loeuillet 2003-10-16 05:13:03 UTC
support for those 2 gstreamer plug-ins is not enabled in current gstreamer
plugin ebuilds

i tried making gst-plugins-dvdec, gst-plugins-libdv, gst-plugins-dv1394src and
gst-plugins-raw1394 with no luck

dvdec & dv1394src are internal gstreamer plug-in names
libdv & raw1394 are IUSE primitives

i need them to bring support to my digital camera to totem and other gstreamer apps.

thanks by advance

you use the incorrect naming for a start, eg. libdv you should have a plugin
ebuild named 'gst-plugins-dv' .. it usually follows the .spec in the tarball.

Dunno what you mean with 'IUSE primitives' ?

finally, i created

gst-plugins-dv and gst-plugins-raw1394 and it worked
thanks

by "IUSE primitives", i meant compilation options
i saw libdv and raw1394 in gst-plugins.eclass so i tried them.

media-plugins/gst-plugins-dv-0.6.4 & media-plugins/gst-plugins-raw1394-0.6.4
added to ~x86 .

I assumed these are tested and working stable plug-ins, if they're not please
report it. One of the reasons for the plugins split-up was guaranteed working
plugins and I can't test these myself.
