We currently have four users signed up for 'Google Apps Team Edition' which means they get Google Apps @gentoo.org stuff. Two people have proposed upgrading to Stndard Edition (which is free). We could also possibly upgrade to Education Edition if we are a non-profit. I don't believe I need infra assistance in turning on Google Apps Standard Edition (I can prove the ownership of gentoo.org via cvsweb access.) However I am wondering if there are any disadvantages you can see to doing so. lavajoe has volunteered to be the domain admin. It is likely we could write a opt-in sync script to activate accounts for Gentoo users (touch some file in your homedir and a nightly cronjob will make an account for you and sync it; fairly standard stuff that is already written.) I intend for the service to be completely opt-in. Users should continue to rely on open source services and I do not believe we should be changing any MX records or anything. -A
