Description Alexander Vershilov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-14 09:45:18 UTC
There is a new ebuild for sys-cluster/mpich2.
There is new USE flag "hydra" for building mpich2 with hydra as default process manager it can be useful for people using mpd (music player daemon). Also in next mpich2 version process manager mpd will be replaced by hydra by default.
Ebuild was updated to support EAPI 2. And there was small updates of ebuild logic.

Reproducible: Always

I've added hydra to the pm list in 1.2.1_p1. However as long as upstream is declaring mpd to be the default, I'd rather not remove it.

If you're just trying to work around the mpd blocker issue (which I do myself), you can use empi from the science overlay. http://dev.gentoo.org/~jsbronder/empi.xml
