My system is by no means vanilla (been running it too long!) but jack compiled fine, and KDE4.3 plays nice with it. As does media-sound/timidity++-2.13.2-r11, and everything that talks native 64bit to it... Including flash. The only programs that fail to use it successfully are the 32bit apps I have installed. That is because the libjack version included in app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-soundlibs is against an earlier version of jack. This was documented in Bug 257211, but Bug 257211 is waiting on a new version of jack to become stable before fixing the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
unless I missed something, it should be good to go stable indeed.
