I made an ebuild for the current batik version with Xavier's instructions (see bug #29045).

Thank you for submitting this. I made an ebuild myself for 1.5 by copying/pasting
from the 1.1.1 ebuild; it installed okay, but I could not run the Squiggle
browser. I e-mailed the batik users mailing list asking for assistance, and
I was told to move batik-squiggle.jar and batik-rasterizer.jar up one directory
to /usr/share/batik.

Your ebuild fixed this problem, but the folks on the batik users mailing
list seemed to question why those two jar files were in /usr/share/batik.
Just an FYI.

I attached an 80x80 PNG you can use for an icon. I like to have commonly
used programs on my Gnome panel, and this icon of the batik logo helps to
identify my launcher for the squiggle browser. The command I used to start
squiggle is "java -jar /usr/share/batik/lib/batik-squiggle.jar".

(not a place to comment, but here it goes anyway)

Please replace the existing Batik build (1.1.1) with this build as the later does not work properly. This, however, works perfectly.

Version bumped + fixes. Now in portage, thanks.
