Description Nick Bowler 2010-01-27 05:33:37 UTC
Attempting to merge haddock-2.6.0 promptly results in failure until alex and happy are installed. Installing these packages allows haddock to be merged successfully.

Please, attach full build.log (with failure) and emerge --info.

Note the circular deps with USE="doc", see bug 311359
Comment 7 Lennart Kolmodin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-28 11:09:50 UTC
Right, it's tricky when main packages depend on other packages.
I think the right way to go here is to precompile the alex and happy files, and then distribute them along with haddock. That way there is no dep on alex nor happy at all.
Comment 8 Lennart Kolmodin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-28 14:05:17 UTC
We kept the deps to alex and happy, and instead made happy standalone from mtl.

Also added alex and happy as deps, thanks for the report!
