Hi guys, to accomodate our x11 team needs and to offload the huge stabilisation bugs i will periodicaly (2months period i guess) open stablerequests for our packages that can go in. So this is todays bunch (each arch plz pick yours): ~x11-proto/glproto-1.4.11 ~x11-libs/libpciaccess-0.11.0 ~x11-drivers/xf86-video-vmware-10.16.9 ~x11-drivers/xf86-video-vesa-2.3.0 ~x11-drivers/xf86-video-mv-2.1.16 ~x11-drivers/xf86-video-dummy-0.3.3 ~x11-drivers/xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.1 ~x11-drivers/xf86-input-evdev-2.3.2 ~x11-apps/xvidtune-1.0.2 ~x11-apps/xlogo-1.0.2 ~x11-apps/xeyes-1.1.0 ~x11-apps/xcalc-1.0.3 ~x11-apps/xbiff-1.0.2 ~x11-apps/listres-1.0.2
Damn it trimmed last line so one more app: ~x11-misc/util-macros-1.5.0 Actualy for this app due to knowing it is only macro stuff i would like you guys to allow us to stable it ourselves and not waste your archie time on it. To prove myself: /usr /usr/share /usr/share/aclocal /usr/share/aclocal/xorg-macros.m4 /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/util-macros-1.5.0 /usr/share/doc/util-macros-1.5.0/ChangeLog.bz2 /usr/share/pkgconfig /usr/share/pkgconfig/xorg-macros.pc /usr/share/util-macros /usr/share/util-macros/INSTALL
Created attachment 217316 [details] list of stable requiring packages I also ran as addition pcheck to see if you are missing stable on some x11 owned packages. That can simply happen due to really long release cycle for some stuff and thus not requiring stable mark in long time, so consider if you want it stable too or not :] Just search the attachment for ~yourarch to get the list :]

It would be nice if a package that runs `eautoreconf` and is using this macro would be mentioned as a test-case. In case there's none, it should be fine if you mark this yourself in future... That said, amd64 stable
stable x86, do the macros yourself for us next time

Doesn't look like it's completely platform independent what is being checked here (cf. the malloc(0) returns NULL check - the malloc(3) man page doesn't commit itself in that respect so it's a platform dependent check) so this should really be checked on each arch. It's not just macro stuff - it performs checks using locally compiled C code which may cause dependent packages to fail.
