bluez-2 is officially deprecated and also unsupported[1]. bluez-libs-2.25 even compiles. [1] http://www.bluez.org/download/
Please, translate your comment into English. Did you mean: "bluez-libs-2.25 doesn't even compile" ? Anyway, as you may noticed in bug 270859, bluez is not that well maintained in Gentoo.

There are versions 2.x and 3.x of bluez-libs and bluez-utils available at portage, but they block bluez-4.x. All of them are currently stable. And, yeah, I wish bluetooth was more well-maintained in Gentoo... :-/
How about removing also bluez 3.x while at it? Leaving only bluez 4.x and compatible pkgs in tree. It's about time, imho.
I will try to drop net-wireless/bluez-utils and net-wireless/bluez-libs when I am able to

How about some documentation to go with that code? I can't switch to the new version necause it took literally weeks to get the old versaion configured so that it would work half-way acceptably. There are no docs to tell me how to configure the new version, so it is worthless to me. I am forced to run masked net-wireless/bluez-libs-3.36 instaed, at least until somebody who knows writes some documentation on how to configure the new stuff.
