dosfstools 3.0.7 is out. The ebuild contains some sed-ing of the Makefile, which isn't really neccessary if you pass the correct parameters to the make/make install commands. Attaching ebuild with some cleanup, I can commit it if you want.

except your version installs the mkfs utils in /sbin too, and you're assuming that the path vars are only used to install (which might be valid for dosfstools).  many packages encode the paths into the binaries which means they must be valid at compile time.

i'll take the sed over wasting time seeing if the paths are used in the binaries every time the package gets bumped.

plus, your ebuild has broken whitespace.  so all in all, no to this.

3.0.7 now in the tree (copied from 3.0.5 ebuild)
