shapelib is in tree without open bugs since end of October 2009 Package compiles and installs without problems on stable amd64. Tested: Built and tested some depending apps xastir from sunrise (runs here for some months now) and unstable basemap. Worked with the provided tools to analyse, modify and create new shapefiles.
