It would be great if the puppetmaster init.d script handled starting multiple servers natively rather than cloning the init script.  Attached is my conf.d and init.d scripts for doing this that I got inspiration from the Red Hat init scripts that do this.

sorry for long long delay.
2.7.6-r1 in cvs. it supports multiple ports. see /etc/conf.d/puppetmaster for more info.
