I've tested the proposed ebuild with success. Thanks Mart. $ emerge --info Portage 2.1.6.13 (default/linux/x86/10.0/desktop, gcc-4.3.2, glibc-2.9_p20081201-r2, 2.6.32 i686) ================================================================= System uname: Linux-2.6.32-i686-Intel-R-_Core-TM-2_CPU_T5500_@_1.66GHz-with-gentoo-1.12.13 Timestamp of tree: Mon, 28 Dec 2009 11:45:02 +0000 app-shells/bash: 4.0_p35 dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7-r1, 2.1.9-r2 dev-lang/python: 2.5.4-r3, 2.6.4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.1.0_beta1 dev-util/cmake: 2.6.4-r3 sys-apps/baselayout: 1.12.13 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.6-r2 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.63-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10.2, 1.11.1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.18-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.4.1 sys-devel/libtool: 2.2.6b virtual/os-headers: 2.6.27-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=prescott -O2 -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/lib/hsqldb /var/qmail/alias /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/ca-certificates.conf /etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/fonts/fonts.conf /etc/gconf /etc/php/apache2-php5/ext-active/ /etc/php/cgi-php5/ext-active/ /etc/php/cli-php5/ext-active/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/sandbox.d /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/language.dat.d /etc/texmf/language.def.d /etc/texmf/updmap.d /etc/texmf/web2c /etc/udev/rules.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=prescott -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="distlocks fixpackages parallel-fetch protect-owned sandbox sfperms strict test test-fail-continue unmerge-orphans userfetch userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://mirror.ovh.net/gentoo-distfiles/ ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.gentoo.org/ " LANG="fr_FR.UTF-8" LC_ALL="fr_FR.UTF-8" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1" LINGUAS="fr en" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_CONFIGROOT="/" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X a52 aac acl acpi alsa berkdb branding bzip2 cairo cdr cjk cli consolekit cracklib crypt cups cxx dbus dri dts dvd dvdr eds emboss encode evo fam firefox flac fortran gdbm gif gnome gnome-print gpm gstreamer gtk2 hal iconv ipv6 jpeg laptop libnotify mad mikmod mmx mng modules mp3 mp4 mpeg mudflap ncurses nls nptl nptlonly ogg opengl openmp pam pcre pdf perl png policykit ppds pppd pulseaudio python qt3support quicktime readline reflection sdl session spell spl sse ssl startup-notification svg sysfs tcpd thunar tiff truetype unicode usb vorbis win32codecs x264 x86 xinerama xml xorg xulrunner xv xvid zlib" ALSA_CARDS="ali5451 als4000 atiixp atiixp-modem bt87x ca0106 cmipci emu10k1 emu10k1x ens1370 ens1371 es1938 es1968 fm801 hda-intel intel8x0 intel8x0m maestro3 trident usb-audio via82xx via82xx-modem ymfpci" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mmap_emul mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbm authn_default authn_file authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_host authz_owner authz_user autoindex cache dav dav_fs dav_lock deflate dir disk_cache env expires ext_filter file_cache filter headers include info log_config logio mem_cache mime mime_magic negotiation rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack vhost_alias" CAMERAS="all" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="evdev synaptics" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" LINGUAS="fr en" QEMU_SOFTMMU_TARGETS="i386 x86_64" QEMU_USER_TARGETS="i386 x86_64" RUBY_TARGETS="ruby18" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="intel" Unset: CPPFLAGS, CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, FFLAGS, INSTALL_MASK, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS
(In reply to comment #2) > I've tested the proposed ebuild with success. Thanks Mart. Sorry, s/Mart/Toffanin/ !
I actually created my own ebuild for gtg. On my computer I didn't have 'dev-python/dbus-python' and the application didn't start. So i just ended up with: RDEPEND="dev-python/pygtk dev-python/pycairo dev-python/pygobject dev-python/configobj dev-python/pyxdg dev-python/dbus-python" Maybe that should be considered on this one ? Didn't add patch as I'm still a bit new :)
Created attachment 214708 [details] app-office/gtg-0.2 thank you Egil for reporting. fixed.
gnome is actually not backing this up.
It is now 0.2.1.
Created attachment 221591 [details] version bump to 0.2.2 Before 0.3 there was a 0.2.2 released, this obsoletes gtg-0.2.ebuild.
Thanks for the flow of bump ebuilds. I should be able to get to bumping it in tree over the weekend
(In reply to comment #9) > Thanks for the flow of bump ebuilds. I should be able to get to bumping it in > tree over the weekend > The 0.2.2 ebuild is not in the tree yet. Is there anything that blocks it ? Didier
Getting Things GNOME! version 0.2.3 codename "NSEA Protector" was released one month ago. It seems as if the release was not announced on http://gtg.fritalk.com nor https://launchpad.net/gtg but the release exists and there is a tarball to download. See https://launchpad.net/gtg/0.2/0.2.3.

I just committed gtg 0.2.3 to the gentoo-x86 tree, thanks to everyone who commented and worked on this. And to Mart who suckered me in to co-maintaining a very useful app :P
