After upgrading to Qt 4.6.0 Stellarium is broken (Stellarium recompile doesn't help). The UI is just black window. Has anybody checked if upstream has issued a patch for this. This is definitely something they should have a look at (unless somebody here has a deep understanding of the guts of stellarium). Markus
https://bugs.launchpad.net/stellarium/+bug/480553 -- as stated ther new version of stellarium should solve this. What about adding 0.10.2.9999 ebuild of the trunk of stellarium if they won't make a release very soon?
Yesterday, 29/01/2010 a new version of Stellarium, 0.10.3 is released. This version is compiled with qt 4.6 and this bug is fixed. So we need the ebuild for new one to be included into a portage tree.
I've copyed the 0.10.2 ebuild, digested, emerged, works nicely :)
I tried renaming 0.10.2 and it appears that qt-svg and qt-test are both required and needed to be added to the ebuild. After they were added everything seemed to work fine.
should be fixed (ish, stellarium seems to be pretty fragile in general) with stellarium-0.10.3.
