This bug doesn't occur with FEATURES="-sandbox -usersandbox".
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-12-07 10:39:02 UTC
the apsw tests are stupid and attempt to open / with write permissions and sandbox denies it

not sure why the failure isnt logged & displayed though; i'll figure that out
Comment 3 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-12-07 11:53:26 UTC
there's no output because common portage adds a predict for / as a compat shim for tests that try to open files in / with write perms and get back EPERM

apsw is funky because it tries to open the / *dir* without O_DIRECTORY and when it gets back EPERM instead of EISDIR, it gets confused and fails

i'd change apsw to not barf when the errno is not exactly as expected
Comment 4 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-11 01:12:06 UTC
The test now tries to open a different directory ("src").
