Since I emerged net-misc/dhcpcd-4.0.15 my NIC fails to get an IP from the router (~2 to 3 times out of five on boot up). It seems to time out within 1-2 seconds or so:

When I run dhcpcd manually, or restart /etc/init.d/net.eth0, it works fine:
================================================

Nov 23 19:19:30 lappy dhcpcd[6732]: eth0: leased 10.10.10.5 for 86400 seconds
================================================

I had no such problems with the previous stable version (4.0.13).

Mick

Please open a new bug for such issues. Thanks.
Comment 9 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2009-11-23 22:43:13 UTC
That is correct, comment #7 should have been a separate bug.

Also, I did speak to Roy about it, and it is a configuration issue. on the
system in question.

Oops! Sorry for the noise guys ... if it is a configuration issue then perhaps I should not file another bug?

Would you mind contacting me off line with any suggestions? My dhcpcd configuration is default so I would be interested to find out what's causing this.

Mick
