will have to wait a few days so that 1.4.2-r1 gets enough testing. Could you test it ?
Comment 4 Wimpy 2009-11-04 20:48:24 UTC
Ok I test with 1.4.2. It seems to be allright :)

If you want more test, it's ok :)

Thanks.
Comment 5 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-12 11:04:34 UTC
moving to new maintainer.
Comment 6 Romain Perier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-12 13:29:47 UTC
mhhh stab req ? .... you're sure ? (hardware-monitor is actually mostly unstable..) ;)
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-12-08 17:20:45 UTC
Since current stable is broken and 1.4.3 looks to compile and work for me:

Arches, please test and mark it stable if possible
Comment 8 Alex Buell 2010-12-10 23:13:28 UTC
There is *NO* point in stabilising this package if the libraries it needs are still UNSTABLE.

This on both SPARC and x86:
# ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge hardware-monitor
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild U ] dev-libs/glib-2.26.1 [2.24.1-r1] USE="static-libs%* (-introspection) -test%"
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.22.1 USE="X jpeg tiff -debug -doc (-introspection) -jpeg2k -test"
[ebuild U ] x11-libs/gtk+-2.22.1 [2.20.1-r1] USE="-examples%"
[blocks b ] <x11-libs/gtk+-2.21.3:2 ("<x11-libs/gtk+-2.21.3:2" is blocking x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.22.1)
[ebuild U ] gnome-base/gnome-panel-2.32.1 [2.30.2] USE="bonobo%* (-introspection)"
[ebuild N ] gnome-extra/hardware-monitor-1.4.3 USE="-lm_sensors"
[blocks B ] <gnome-base/librsvg-2.31.0 ("<gnome-base/librsvg-2.31.0" is blocking x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.22.1)
Comment 9 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2010-12-11 16:16:50 UTC
It doesn't require any unstable version, simply read its ebuild.(In reply to comment #8)

This is the wrong way of checking it since it causes portage to use ~x86 for ALL ebuilds, not only hardware-monitor
Comment 10 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-12 09:33:37 UTC
x86 done. Thanks.

I meant ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" on x86 and ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~sparc" on SPARC, if that's what you were pointing out?

No, I was saying that installing testing packages setting "ACCEPT_KEYWORDS" instead of using /etc/portage/package.keywords causes portage to try to use testing packages for all deptree instead of only affected package :-)
Comment 13 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2010-12-15 22:38:08 UTC
amd64 ok
Comment 14 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-12-29 15:39:26 UTC
amd64 done. Thanks Agostino

Comment 16 Michael Weber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-01-03 12:33:28 UTC
sparc done
