Matplotlib terminates while emerging
Previous versions also dies with the same error

I cannot understand how that can happen.
Please reemerge with --debug and attach the new build.log.

I solved the situation for myself.
The problem is it tries to link to /usr/share/python* and I had python3.1 and python2.6 in there. When I removed the python 3.1 and the files in /usr/share/python3.1 it compiled successfully
