@base-system: CC alpha amd64 arm hppa ia64 m68k ~mips ppc ppc64 s390 sh sparc x86 if you agree.
Comment 1 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-13 08:58:13 UTC
Or would you go for .9 instead?
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-09-13 21:38:48 UTC
no real point in stabilizing an outdated version
Comment 3 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-02 17:55:48 UTC
As said on the depending/blocking bugs, these needs to be _tested well_ and they all need to go together.
Comment 4 Tobias Klausmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-03 14:32:58 UTC
Both stable on alpha.
Comment 5 Brent Baude (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-03 15:26:57 UTC
On ppc64 64UL in chroot, I get the following failure:

Found some old bugs reports from Gentoo that suggested missing /etc/mtab, or missing DEBUG_FS in kernel, that's not the case here.

Could be due to big endian...as i only get that failure on sparc.

anyway, ia64/sparc stable, as the test doesn't fail, it just outputs some more stuff

Marked ppc stable.
Comment 15 simon 2009-11-30 10:41:23 UTC
e2fsprogs-1.41.9 is currently stable on amd64, but e2fsprogs-libs-1.41.9 is not. IMHO this should not happen.

Lies. It not marked stable yet.
Comment 17 Andrew Brouwers 2009-11-30 14:42:17 UTC
Not sure if it's useful, but I have confirmed on 2 ~amd64 systems that the tests do not pass; one is using a 2.6.31 kernel, and the other 2.6.32.

I get the following block when trying to update on stable:

!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "~sys-libs/e2fsprogs-libs-1.41.9" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-libs/e2fsprogs-libs-1.41.9 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword)

(dependency required by "sys-fs/e2fsprogs-1.41.9" [ebuild])

amd64 stable (can't reproduce the test failure anymore, never figured out what that was all about)
Comment 21 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-11 14:37:30 UTC
All done
