Description Federico Moro 2003-09-10 03:35:25 UTC
Before 8th September update, my digital camera (Canon Powershot A10) work fine
with gphoto2.
After 8th September update, gphoto2 stop working cause it's search libexif.so.8,
then I remerge libusb, usbutils, hotplug, libgphoto2, gphoto2, libexif-gtk and
gtkam.
After that, gphoto2 worked, but my camera stop working, I found this message:
** (gtkam:3449): WARNING **: Could not find 'usb' in port info list (Unknon Port)!
I have try to recompile the kernel, but it's still don't working.
It's really strange so when I connect my digital camera I can see in
/proc/bus/usb/devices that my camera is there!
I don't know exactly where the bug is so I can't solve the problem.
Any idea?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

just to add, you should prob give the output of emerge info. right now, the fix is only in ~x86. but basically, you can work around it by emerging libusb _AFTER_ usbutils. they have conflicting files at the moment.
