Hi,

(In reply to comment #0)
> ../libtool: line 4998: cd: yes/lib: No such file or directory
> libtool: link: cannot determine absolute directory name of `yes/lib'

Confirmed. I get an identical error on my x86 system.

Something must be weird with the way the build is configured, right? The command that fails is:
========
/bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC   --mode=link i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -march=pentium3 -O2 -pipe -Wall -Wmissing-declarations -Wmissing-prototypes -march=pentium3 -O2 -pipe -Wall -Wmissing-declarations -Wmissing-prototypes -no-undefined -export-symbols ./libgphoto2.sym -version-info 6:0:4 -Wl,-O1 -o libgphoto2.la -rpath /usr/lib libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-abilities-list.lo libgphoto2_la-ahd_bayer.lo libgphoto2_la-bayer.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-camera.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-context.lo libgphoto2_la-exif.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-file.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-filesys.lo libgphoto2_la-gamma.lo libgphoto2_la-jpeg.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-list.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-result.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-version.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-setting.lo libgphoto2_la-gphoto2-widget.lo ../libgphoto2_port/libgphoto2_port/libgphoto2_port.la -lltdl -Lyes/lib -lexif -lm
========
Note the "-Lyes/lib" argument, which is presumably nonsense. HTH.

Comment 3 Soren Harward 2009-08-31 02:11:55 UTC
Confirm. Looks like one of the autotools files in the distribution is hosed. Suggest reporting upstream.
Comment 4 Dmitry Karasik 2009-08-31 04:17:45 UTC
Another problem is that --with-bonjour has no effect. libgphoto2_port/configure.ac:164 hardcodes with_bonjour=no which overrides the user setting.
Comment 5 Zeev Tarantov 2009-08-31 04:49:48 UTC
I reproduced without portage to submit to upstream but was defeated by sourceforge bug tracker. If anyone has a valid account there please submit. You can tell them to ask me for more info or test patches.

+  libgphoto2-2.4.7.ebuild:
+ Fix bug #283282, replace $(use_with exif libexif) by $(use_with exif
+ libexif auto) which assigns a value to --with-libexif (yes as default) and
+ force the configure to autodetect libexif using pkg-config module instead
+ of considere this value as $prefix, problem due to ugly GP_CHECK_LIBRARY
+  m4 macro

Fixed into the main tree without a revbump, thanks for reporting. :)
