dev-libs/libnl seems to build fine without inheriting linux-info eclass, even if there are no kernel sources in /usr/src.
Is there any reason why the inherit is there?

I've checked it on sparc, arm, 3 amd64 machines and on x86 - it built fine everywhere with no kernel sources in /usr/src and no sys-kernel/<whatever>-sources installed.
So, the question stands - why is the inherit there?
