Description Francisco J. Vazquez 2009-08-20 17:21:16 UTC
I think the dependency on libstdc++-v3 was added because of bug #249192. I've removed it and everything seems to work ok, at least on amd64. revdep-rebuild doesn't report any broken library. libAMDXvBA.so.1.0 doesn't need it anymore:

ldd /usr/lib/libAMDXvBA.so.1.0
	linux-vdso.so.1 =>  (0x00007fff086e4000)
	libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x00007f8c4fbc8000)
	librt.so.1 => /lib/librt.so.1 (0x00007f8c4f9bf000)
	libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00007f8c4f668000)
	libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007f8c4f44c000)
	/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007f8c5013b000)

Reproducible: Always

I can confirm that for 64bit it is not necessary, so pleas remove it for 64bit system
Comment 2 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-26 14:12:30 UTC
Yep, i agree that on amd64 it is just peachy, i have problem because i cant test it in next 14 days on x86. Could any x86 user run:
ldd /usr/lib/libAMDXvBA.so.1.0

Cheers
Comment 3 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-29 15:47:03 UTC
Thanks to [Ernico] for confirming on x86. This dep has been removed from ebuild without revbump.
