netatalk v2.0.4 was released on May 29 2009 upstream included the patches for db43 and newerdb, those are not necessary any more. rediffed the xfs-patch. sadly still no zeroconf-support upstream, I didn't test the patch for 2.0.3 yet. I just modified the old ebuild as a first draft, maybe some dependencies need an update. timeout and it's manpage is no longer supplied, no need to remove it in the ebuild. ebuild compiling and working fine on ~amd64. Reproducible: Always

Why default ebuild from Portage was not updated since this? It have been passed 5 months since this new release.
(In reply to comment #3) > Why default ebuild from Portage was not updated since this? It have been passed > 5 months since this new release. > I don't know, I'm not a Gentoo dev. Though, now 2.0.5 is going through its release candidates phases (and includes support for Time Machine :D ). This bug may need to be closed/updated soon. Is there someone who knows what is currently going on out there?

Hi, Just renaming the netatalk-2.0.4.ebuild to netatalk-2.0.5.ebuild (uploaded new file for clarity) and created a new netatalk-2.0.5-xfs.patch. Note, you'll need to use your own overlay and add this to your package.unmask, as netatalk has been masked and they are going to remove it from portage: =net-fs/netatalk-2.0.5 Please test it in you system. Just upgraded from 2.0.3 and work on ~amd64. Luis
ive cleaned up and added 2.0.5. in the future, post a diff against the current ebuild instead of a brand new one since you really didnt change much.
