Description:   Opened: 2003-09-02 16:39 0000
sys-cluster/ganglia-monitor-core overwrites /usr/include/error.h
which is then very confusing (e.g. emerge elfutils).

Chad, could you please look into this as you contributed the ebuild?

Yikes sorry about that. I'll submit a new ebuild. chad

(From update of attachment 17133 [edit])
OK as far as I can tell, ganglia-monitor-core-2.5.3 was incorrectly placing
it's include files in /usr/include instead of the intended /usr/include/ganglia
(noted because make install was creating an empty directory
/usr/include/ganglia but putting the files in /usr/include).

Of course I should have caught this in the initial ebuild.

ganglia-monitor-core-2.5.4 seems to have fixed this problem so I think it would
be best to just submit a new ebuild for 2.5.4 and place a warning that anyone
upgrading from 2.5.3 should verify that /usr/include/error.h still exists for
glibc.

I'm attaching the new masked ebuild with a warning- if any more experienced
gentoo people could check if this is the right thing to do when a package
overwrites a more important file from another package, I would appreciate it.

I checked in the corrected ebuild.

Chad: Thanks for your quick response.
Bob: Could you please check if the 2.5.4 ebuild corrects the issues you experienced and report back so i can close this bug?
