In the Portage tree since about one month, no bugs reported.

r19 fixes the autoconf issue of bug 273720. There should be no visible changes at run time. So, the rule of thumb is: If it builds, stabilise it.*

* Note: If you want to perform a run-time test nevertheless, and if you have Emacs Lisp files installed in /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/ that were compiled by a newer Emacs version (i.e. emacs-22* or emacs-cvs-23*), then it may be advisable to start Emacs as follows:
   $ emacs-21 -q -no-site-file

Yeah, "nls" had been in IUSE since 2001: <http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/app-editors/emacs/emacs-20.7.ebuild?hideattic=0&rev=1.1&view=markup>
And it was wrong from the very beginning. Blame hallski and pete. ;-)

I've removed it now. Thanks for pointing this out.
