Description aragorncito 2009-07-09 09:02:09 UTC
I have a box with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 DUAL I'm trying to this version : install-x86-minimal-20090623.iso,23-Jun-2009 18:24 , everything runs fine , loads kernel and modules then when it loads all and prompts to start the installation , when I press any key this appears : <<do_IRQ: cannot handle IRQ-1 vector 0xF9 CPU 0>> and freezes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot from MinimalCD (20090623)
2.Boot with : gentoo, gentoo-nofb & gentoo-nofb nox
3.Press any key to begin the installation commands

Actual Results:
<<do_IRQ: cannot handle IRQ-1 vector 0xF9 CPU 0>>

The same here.
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5200+
Motherboard: ASUS M2N-E SLI
ISO: install-x86-minimal-20090616.iso

Now I'm going to try booting with 2008.0.

I tried the 20091020 x86 livecd. This specific message no longer appears, but as soon as I press a key, I get the following:

CPU0: Unexpected LVT TMR Interrupt!
Spurious APIC interrupt on CPU#1, should never happen.
Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint

The system continues to respond after this.

Can you please check if this still happens with the latest available weekly build for x86?

No answer and given no recent reports I assume this is fixed.
