The libcanberra version in portage is back a few releases, in the meantime there have been quite a bunch of bugfixes that are supposed to fix pulseaudio backend bugs and other things. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 197158 [details] Bumped ebuild for libcanberra-0.14 It's basically the 0.11-r5 ebuild with the src_unpack function removed cause no patch is being applied. Version 0.14 works without problems here and solved a bunch of problems I had with deadlocks in mutexes that would make applications freeze when libcanberra-enabled GTK actions would occur (like clicking a button)
