On a portage update, I got the following error:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use portage to try to upgrade world including apr-1.3.5.

Actual Results:  
The build crashed when it tried to link.

Expected Results:  
It should have built successfully.

FYI, this bug popped up again today. The workaround (MAKEOPTS="-j1") worked today as before.
