Roundcube 0.2.1 is in the portage tree since April and no bug reported. Please 
mark it stable, roundcube works for me without errors.

it's also working ok on amd64.

Little note #1: the ebuild requires php with USE=imap, but roundcube doesn't actually need it. It's using the IlohaMail imap library (see /program/lib/imap.inc) and not the php bundled one. This applies to both the 0.2.2 and 0.3 ebuilds.

Little note #2: roundcube-0.3 is out, and already in portage tree, we should proceed to stable it as soon as possible.
