Highlight changes since last stable: Pass tests if USE="curl abyss" is set. That should make testing for arches easier. Tools are built and the building of tools has been integrated into the build system. Also, parallel make mostly works, which has reduced build time to something that feels right for the size of the library. A bunch of --as-needed and --no-undefined issues have been fixed. Fixing the --no-undefined issues revealed that a bunch of the libraries weren't properly interlinked, so relied on all consumers to link to two or more libraries to get all symbols. Fixing --as-needed revealed the usual kinds of bugs in the build system. See also bug 268628 which is no longer reproducible.
