Description Tim Bastiaenssens 2009-05-11 12:55:04 UTC
XBMC released a new version 9.04. In the portage theres now an xbmc-9999.ebuild which is nice. But I believe there should be an xbmc-9.04 as well in portage. I tried to produce it myself starting from xbmc-9999.ebuild but failed at it :)

Reproducible: Always

if upstream doesnt post a source tarball for it, it's kind of hard to make an ebuild for it

How about a embedding an specific svn repository or branch to merge from.
A quick ESVN_... sort of hack.

The only downside to this is kind of conflicts with the way the current ebuild is constructed: only 9999 versions get to use subversion

source package tarball supplied by upstream. I requested that upstream would standarize their naming to XBMC-9.04.src.tar.gz ... i hope they willl fix that as well, then its just a small thing to refactor the 9999 ebuild.
