I don't get that failure on ~amd64, all mine test failures are Python 2.6 related. Do you have CONFIG_INOTIFY and CONFIG_INOTIFY_USER enabled? Could you also try re-running the merge to see if the problem persists?

test-inotify-issue1371 is a known intermittent failure, it'll hopefully be fixed by 1.3. Please ignore it for now.
