The ebuild does not apply the patch for missing asm/page.h (bug #168312) when using manually-installed kernel headers since the condition 

    has_version '>sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.20' 

is not satisfied although sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.99 is in package.provided (bug #221999).

From what I understand the precondition is not actually needed and removing it would resolve the issue.
