libxml2 2.7.3 breaks the compilation while if you are using 2.7.2, it compiles just fine. The problem was identified and reported to upstream by the Arch linux maintainer (bug 2685749) but there is no answer yet. I will try to create a patch. As a workaround, downgrade libxml2 should do the trick.
libxml2 upstream has release a fix for this problem: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/xml/2009-April/msg00021.html I got the patch from svn and fix minor issues to work with gentoo libxml2: http://dev.gentoo.org/~yoswink/tmp/libxml2-2.7.3-printf-rename.patch Experimental ebuild can be found: http://dev.gentoo.org/~yoswink/tmp/libxml2-2.7.3-r1.ebuild libxml2 compiles fine and test seems ok. xmlcopyeditor is able to compile again. I will send the patch to libxml2 gentoo maintainers and see if we can get it inside portage any time soon.
I've commited xmlcopyeditor-1.2.0.2-r2 which depends on libxml2-2.7.3-r1. This version includes the necessary fixes. This bug should be fixed now.
