Description Felix Salfner 2009-03-25 21:37:35 UTC
I'm running stable amd64 gentoo, beagle version is 0.3.7-r1

I ran "emerge beagle" with my standard use flags that included thunderbird but not inotify. Everything compiles fine but in thunderbird, I could not start beagle. It complained about a "missing directory". Looking at the log file told me that beagle cannot use inotify (although my kernel has inotify support built in)

providing the use flag inotify to beagle solved the problem.

My suggestion is that the use flag "thunderbird" should automatically enable inotify support, or at least a warning should be issued (there was no such hint in the elog)

Reproducible: Always
