As per summary, I'm adding 2.6.2 that was released today, would be nice to now stable 2.6.1 since the fixes are minor and one is already present (patched in). Thanks, Diego

Created attachment 184579 [details] build.log The test phase fails with USE="-acl -bzip2 -lzma -static -xattr -zlib". The previous stable version exhibits the same behaviour, though. Let's call it in for 2.6.2 then ;) And sorry I didn't answer before, if it's not a regression please do mark it stable anyway, I'll try to fix it if it's still there on 2.7.0 tomorrow.

Please don't report problems on totally unrelated bugs. The problem was reported and is already fixed.
I didn't notice another bug for libarchive so I wasn't aware that it had been reported in order for it to have been fixed. I had intended to file a separate bug for this but was late for work. I simply felt that the people involved with this bug should be aware of the problem with the new version.
