for jack2, if I remember correctly we did discuss it a while ago and we'll need a new ebuild for it; I'm sure you have one, but please open a new bug for it and attach it.

There are a couple of things I'm not sure about since I haven't followed the jackdmp/jack2 development:
- is the libjack/libjackserver api/abi compatible with jack1?
- do we know when it will replace it if at all?

If the api/abi is compatible and it will replace it at some point it seems a sane idea to put it in the same package/slot, probably masked for now.
